Privacy Policy
HaulProof is a trade name of MESK Innovations LTD ("HaulProof," "we," "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through haulproof.net and the HaulProof service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
When you visit our website or apply for the pilot: your name, company, work email, role, MC# or DOT#, shipping volume, optional phone number and message, and basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected by our hosting provider.
When you use the HaulProof service (as a shipper, carrier or driver), we collect only what is needed to verify vehicle pickups and deliveries:
- Account and contact details: names, company, MC#/DOT#, phone numbers and email addresses.
- Driver credentials: driver's license details and, where identity verification requires it, a photo of the driver's license and a selfie.
- Device information: identifiers of the device a driver registers for pickups.
- Shipment information: VINs, vehicle descriptions, pickup and delivery addresses, dates, and verification events.
- Location data: device location at verification points (pickup and delivery), and during an active shipment where the service requires it.
- Photos a user chooses to take of a vehicle at pickup or delivery.
2. How we use it
- To verify that the carrier and driver at a pickup are the ones assigned, and to confirm delivery at the agreed destination.
- To send transactional messages: verification notices, confirmation requests and one-time passcodes.
- To detect, investigate and prevent fraud and theft, and to keep a timestamped custody record of each shipment.
- To review pilot applications and contact applicants about the pilot.
- To operate, secure and improve the service, and to comply with law.
3. Biometric information
If identity verification uses facial comparison between a selfie and a photo ID, we will obtain the individual's express written consent before collecting it, use it only to verify identity for HaulProof, never sell, lease or disclose it except as required by law, and destroy it within a reasonable time — and no later than one year after the purpose for collecting it has ended, or sooner where the law requires.
4. How we share it
- Parties to a shipment: the shipper and carrier on a load see the verification status and custody record for that load.
- Service providers who host our systems and deliver messages and email on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- Law enforcement and insurers investigating a theft or claim, when required by valid legal process or with the consent of the affected customer.
- Business transfers: if HaulProof is involved in a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or share phone numbers with third parties for their marketing.
5. Text messages
We send transactional text messages only — never marketing SMS. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Messaging Policy.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Shipment custody records may be kept longer where they are needed for theft investigations, insurance claims, legal obligations or disputes. Pilot applications from applicants who do not join are deleted within 24 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including Texas and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email SK@haulproof.net. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Children
HaulProof is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We will post updates here and change the effective date. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
